The itinerary is enclosed for your perusal. We will visit iconic sites in and around Tokyo, Kamakura, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Miyajima.
The three-day extension trip will include Nikko, Edo Wonderland, and snow monkeys at Jigokudani in Nagano.
For the ten-day excursion, the cost is $2,900. That includes hotels, ground transportation (including two bullet train rides), tour guides, entrance fees, local airfare from Hiroshima back to Tokyo, nine breakfasts, and two lunches. It does NOT include international airfare to and from Japan, insurance, dinners, other lunches, drinks, and incidentals. If you want a single supplement (you are traveling by yourself and don't want to share a room and want to be in a room by yourself), that will be an additional $1,300.
For the three-day extension, the cost is $1,200. That includes hotels, ground transportation (including two bullet train rides), tour guides, entrance fees, three breakfasts and two dinners. It does NOT include lunches, drinks, and incidentals. If you want a single supplement (you are traveling by yourself and don't want to share a room and want to be in a room by yourself), that will be an additional $225.
We chose this time period because it is projected to be the cherry blossom season (Sakura) when we arrive. Most people would say this is the most beautiful season to visit Japan. So, as photographers, how could we resist?!
Right now, our trip is at capacity (30 people). But if you are seriously interested in going, please contact John Powers at johnepowers@hotmail.com to be put on the waiting list. He will try to answer all your questions and he will keep you informed how things are progressing.
